Description
Going southbound on 19th street NW. The middle lane is a straight AND right turn optional lane (turning right on to E St. NW). However, there are no street markings on the road for the middle lane to make drivers in the lanes to the right and left to make them aware that cars in the middle lane have the right to turn right from the middle lane as well. There is a road sign about 200 feet or more in front of the alley before the intersection to indicate this but that sign is too far north and not sufficient for cars stopped at the light. This is a risk that cars in the right lane can hit cars turning right from the middle lane, when they assume incorrectly that the middle lane is straight only. It would be helpful if this is clearly painted on the road or if an additional sign is added (or move the existing sign closer to the intersection.
