Also, the crowing of a rooster is considered a noise ordinance violation, so please call the St. Petersburg Police Department when it is actively crowing. A rooster found in violation of the ordinance is considered a nuisance and must be removed from the property. Thanks, Mayor's Action Center

The rooster has been crowing since 7 am this morning and has not stopped and it is now 10:30 am. I did as you instructed and contacted the St. Petersburg Police Department. They informed me that I needed to contact Animal Control Services or St. Petersburg Codes. I am not sure what to do from here as I have submitted official complaints to both the city and the police.

According the City Codes it should fall under a noise ordinance violation which would be enforced by SPPD:

Sec. 4-31. - Keeping fowl in the City
(e) Noisy fowl. Crowing roosters or other noisy fowl which violate the noise ordinance (currently section 11-53(7)) are hereby declared to be nuisances. The owner or possessor of the property on which the fowl are located are responsible for the noise created by the fowl. If the property owner or possessor has been convicted of a noise violation related to the fowl, the fowl shall be removed from the property and it is unlawful to keep fowl at the property until there is a change of ownership or possession of the property.
