Description
This is an update and follow-up request to a previously submitted issue submitted on April 30, 2015 (issue ID: 1620996).
Tonight crossing the Waverly Street crosswalk (in front of the Chinese restaurant) I was almost hit by 3 cars. I was in the middle of the crosswalk when the first car passed me while on the crosswalk, the car behind him also did not see me and tried to break and swerve past me, which was scary as I didn't know whether I should run back to the sidewalk or try to run to the other side. The car behind this guy almost rear ended him.
As I had previously stated in the 2015 report this is a busy crosswalk with a lot of the Framingham commuters parking at St. Tarcisius parking lot and other nearby businesses. After dark this crosswalk is poorly lit and drivers either do not see you crossing or when you are in the middle of the crosswalk they see you, but just continue driving almost hitting the pedestrians.
Something needs to be done urgently!
Per the last request I called the Administrative office at the Framingham Police Department (508-532-5926) and left a voicemail.
also asked...
A. better signage alerting of pedestrian crossing
A. extremely dangerous and unsafe crosswalk
