From our understanding, Duke Energy has an overwhelming backlog of light outages throughout the region. This is extending repair times tremendously. City staff will follow up on any outages located within the public right of way in this area. Property management should follow up with Duke on any outages located on private property. The street light pole number 8E978 is on a public right of way. It has been out since early Nov. Duke did came out yesterday and repaired two of the four lights I reported to you pole #15QF98, and 13EB93. So I guess their backlog is not that bad now.

We checked in again with Duke Energy, and we were advised that pole 8E978 has an "underground issue". Duke will follow up on that issue.

The other light needs replacement and the product is on order. Duke Energy anticipates obtaining these fixtures and replacing them by Feb 3.
