Description
Hi guys--18th St westbound is marked with two travel lanes between Jersey Ave and Coles (i.e., from right to left it goes curb - travel land - dashed white line - travel lane - double white line). Cars are parking in the right lane. Either these cars should be ticketed for parking in a travel lane or the road needs new stripes and signage to indicate that the right lane is not for travel.
I get that this block is not yet listed in the city ordinance as being no parking/stopping/standing, but the situation is clearly unsafe and needs immediate attention. Whether this is via emergency no parking signs or restriping and resigning the whole area, I don't really care.

There is a no parking sign, but I think there are actually no parking restrictions in the city's ordinances (18th is listed as no stopping/standing to Jersey Ave but not west of it). So the city needs to change the ordinance before enforcing the existing no parking sign, or the JCPD need to put up "emergency" no parking signs.
Here's where the no parking zone on 18th is defined: https://www.municode.com/library/nj/jersey_city/codes/code_of_ordinances?nodeId=CH332VETR_ARTIIIPASTST_S332-23NOSTST
