Agreed- Really frustrating to see how little so many residents are about doing their very small part in keeping the streets cleared. It's not like it's any mystery- just move your cars off the street!
The city recently put resident parking only signs up on Fort Ave presumably to keep the construction crews from clogging it up, hasn't changed a thing and I've yet to see a single ticket. It's not just snow bans, no one takes Salem seriously when it comes to parking...
We too had cars parked on Essex Street (between Hardy and Bentley Streets) well after the snow ban went into effect. Police car finally came by after 8PM and one car was removed, allowing the plow to get to the curb.
The city street light (walkway light) on the walkway between the pedestrian walkway running from Federal Street to Bridge Street and Ash Street (parallel to Federal Street) is not working. It is dangerous to walk on that path after dark.
