Description
Please open the bus lane to carpoolers! All that is needed is new paint. Low budget way to encourage people to carpool off the island.
With a little more effort, we could do like then Caldecott tunnel and create a reversible lane.
I don't know why people aren't doing more to fix traffic on/off the island. I would not advise anyone to create a business here or buy a home here due the the problem which will get worse.
The tube takes sometimes 45 minutes to get from Atlantic to Oakland and the 1000 new homes on Alameda Point haven't even finished building yet.
There is a very active casual Carpool at Santa Clara and Webster and we should encourage people to reduce cars and use carpool.

There is the Standard reply , it is H61 therefore is Caltrans , then Caltrans send it back , been like that for over 50 years ...... Everyone want the fat paycheck , no one want to make the hard decision .
There is absolutely no justification for Webster then Central then Encinal then Broadway then Otis to be classified as an Highway ,lack of speed enforcement aside . It is so deeply in the blood of City hall they are all afraid of Caltrans , I do challenge anyone reading this post to prove me wrong , an act of Congress is easier . Now that Trump has been elected either nothing at all will be done by fear of upsetting Him or everything will be done overnight .
