Description

The bike lane on townsend (Northbound) between 7th and 8th has no markings and is bordered on the right by unused rail. Cars don't realize this is a bike lane and frequently enter it without checking for bikes. Compounding this problem, there is no designated left turn lane at 7th so cars attempting to avoid sitting behind other cars turning left quickly switch into the ambiguously marked right lane. This is particularly dangerous because of the rails on the right side of the bike lane because bikers end up caught between a rock (car) and a hard place (tracks that can swallow bike tires).

Please mark the bike lane and cover the tracks if possible.
