Description

This Chrysler New Yorker automobile has been parked on the street in front of 1808 Melbourne Ave. NE for longer than six months. During this period of time, it has been moved only once — to change the direction it faces on the street. It bears an antique vehicle tag. I am aware that Alabama Dept. of Motor Vehicle antique-tag regulations require that the car be a show-car, in essentially stock condition and that the (quoting) "vehicle is operated in club activities, exhibitions, tours, parades, and can be driven to these locations for the purposes of attending these events or activities." The car is definitely not being shown, except to those who drive or walk by.

This vehicle regularly interferes with two-way traffic on the street and becomes a danger when pedestrians and cars pass at the same time. The owner has adequate garage and driveway space to park this car off-street. The street is not our garage. Neither, should it be this person's.
