Description
There are three new homes being built, the first is completed, they are now working on the second. We have put up with alot in terms of heavy trucks and machinery, noise and vibration, etc. But, I don't think it is right to make all this noise at night and on the weekend, much less on weekend nights. They are going right now.

Call non-emergency police number [893-7780] if violation occurs.
We went through this and reported repeated violations almost every weekend for more than 6 months. You may have to inform the police officer who will show up that this is not a 'noise' ordinance but a 'construction' one - i.e. no crew is allowed to work outside these stipulated hours.
If this is the same developer than the one installed here, he would try to appease the police officer w/various excuses. E.g. saying it's not his fault, that he had told his crew not to work on the weekends, etc. [Come on, construction folks don't show up for work if they're not paid.]

Please see the excerpt from the Municipal Code of Ordinance that governs construction noise:

(b)This section shall apply to construction sites, located within 1,000 feet of any lawful residential use. This section does not apply to the moving of structures (see article V of this chapter, moving buildings).
(1)Construction activities shall not occur Monday through Friday prior to 7:00 a.m. and shall cease operations prior to 7:00 p.m.

The City of St Petersburg periodically reviews past reports that are made from citizens within our city limits, and in an effort to clean-up old issues that were resolved some time ago, we are marking as 'closed' those issues that were submitted in the past for which the work has been completed or the issue has otherwise been resolved.
If you think for any reason that the issue you submitted in the past might still be unresolved, please feel free to submit a new report with the SeeClickFix St. Pete website and we will make sure the issue is directed to the appropriate City department to be addressed as soon as possible.
