I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to the Oakland County Raod Commission and WBPDfor their complete and total FAILURE for those of us that traveled west along Maple west of Orchard Lake. There was a massive pothole. It was roughly 3' x 8.' How could you miss a giant hole like that you ask? Well for starts it was wet out and at night. That made it hard to see so it is entirely feasible that some people would it the pothole. Let's be honest we live in Michigan our roads suck.

This issue for me and at least 10-15 others is the fact that AFTER the OCRC and WBPD were on site they did NOT place any type of barrels or barriers to indicate that you should avoid that place on the road. Instead the women OCRC driver drove around to look at the damage of cars parked on the side of the road, the church and the nearest subdivision.

As you approached the pothole (in addition to the low viability) your attention is drawn to the dozens of flashing lights which included a police car and an OCRC truck......Then BOOM, BOOM!! Tire and rims destroyed. When I finally stopped near the corner of Bauervic and Maple the OCRC truck was there parked looking at cars. I walked back down to the pothole to get a look and take photos. While walking there 10-15 MORE cars went into the pothole causing a great deal of damage.

It was at least 20-30 minutes before either of them decided it would be wise to park their vehicles with emergency lights on them to BLOCK THE POTHOLE!!!

Michigan roads are notoriously bad, but the Oakland Country Road Commission took it to new level even for them by not blocking the pothole immediately upon arrival to the area. The first handful of cars that went through the pothole and were damaged are simply victims of Michigan winters. However, the many cars that were damaged AFTER the arrival of the people paid to serve our community are the victims of the WPD and OCRC.
