The blinking light is yellow on greenkill and red on clinton. Motorist drive extremely fast down greenkill and do not use caution at the blinking light but instead act as if it is a green light. You can stop on clinton at the red blinking light, look both ways and proceed yet even if you are halfway into the interesection or more, a motorist on greenkill will accelerate, slam horns and so on. I live near this corner and this is an everyday occurance with all types of drivers!
These delusional drivers should be ticketed! The light alternates for baseball season so it should be changing back soon? If someone accelerates at me I will slam the breaks.

The blinking light has worked fine for me for over 40 years except during the transition period when the yellow and red directions are exchanged. Local drivers get accustomed to stop and no stop directions, then they are reversed. To me, that is unsafe. I'd prefer that both blinking lights on Greenkill be set the same and left that way year in and out. KPD, if they have an expert opinion, or neighbors in the area can specify which way is best.
I live right there, my children and I have to cross Greenkill every morning and afternoon for the bus to school and it's always at risk of being run down by drivers who don't stop or those who speed up to hurry accross. There are times we will be waiting 5 mins just to cross because noone wants to take the time to stop and let children get accross! It's very dangerous and I have almost been hit dozens of times!
It is very strange that Clinton is a thru street and Greenkill is not... At the very least, Clinton traffic should see a stop sign crossing Greenkill, and Greenkill a flashing yellow, a red, or nothing at all. But a well marked cross hatched pedestrian crossing is essential.
