Perhaps it may be necessary to install more lights in the park to discourage people with unsavory and criminal intentions to hide in the dark. There have been several cases of people breaking in, stealing cars, stealing bikes, smashing vehicle windows, and most recently, an assault in the immediate vicinity of the park. At night, it's very dark there. So anyone committing a crime can escape to the park.
With more new homes being built in the area, and with the homeless still encamped at the still-to-be-built Sweeney Park, the number of criminal incidents seem to be increasing. Last night, our neighbor's car was broken into and ransacked. 2-3 nights ago, someone was assaulted. 1-2 weeks ago, car was stolen and another vandalized. All around the park!
Please help!
