Actually, it should be the city's responsibility to make neighborhoods look decent. After all, it tax money.

Actually Nick, the county has neither the money nor manpower for all these "discretionary" projects. This is a perfect opportunity for local community groups to become involved. There are even groups like the Master Gardeners of Central GA who, through their members, provide grant money for just such improvement projects.

Ok thank you ! I would actually love to be part of the project as I work hard to try keeping the Shirley Hills neighborhood by reporting issues and personally going out there picking up trash and even cutting grass from houses that have not been occupied for years. I will check with Central GA Master Gardeners and see if I can get a little group together to take care if this. Should be fun !
