I greatly appreciate the new bike lane being paved on Beacon however there are a number of issues with it. The transitions across intersections and driveways are very unevenly paved. There is a lot of asphalt debris in the lane which is hazardous to bikers. Most importantly there is horrible drainage particularly in the section across from start market. The one time it snowed the lane was not adequately cleared and maintained clear to make it safe for biking. I truly appreciate the effort however, because there is now a dedicated bike lane, it is less safe to bike in the road but the dedicated bike lane is not designed nor maintained well enough to be safe for bikers.
