You don't need to waste taxpayer money putting in a light, which isn't needed and will probably slow down traffic more than it helps. Open up Meadowood Lane again to two way traffic and that will help when there is a back up. Why did they make that road one-way? It's a town road and we should be able to drive on it when there's a back-up at the stop sigh? If it's a town road paid from taxpayer money why can't taxpayers drive on it both ways. It's certainly not a safety issue. That road was always a two way road from the time it was first built and there was never a problem.

No traffic light. Just change Meadowood Ln back to a 2 way street.

To Middletown taxpayer. I live on Meadowood Dr and when the street was a two way road, cars would drive through with no caution to the children. If people could obey traffic laws, then it would not be a problem. For the street to be used as a convienence for some it has become a danger for others. This was brought before the town and voted on some time ago. You should have voiced your opinion then. A traffic light is not needed at the 4 way stop!

I agree, i live at the end of the culdesac and i walk down the road or sometimes jog. Cars do drive through with no caution to the residents. No light needed at the four way stop .

We should put lights on every corner and shut down every street because we have people that drive too fast on every single street in town and the country. Are you kidding? Have you ever seen the traffic on East St? Shut down the streets to all traffic....there's a solution.

East St is called a Route for a good reason. It is a heavily traveled road because of the amount of residents in the area. For that reason it will always be busy, whether you put traffic lights, block off roads etc. Opening other streets and allowing cars to drive through wrecklessly will only get you to the stop sign a second quicker. Relax and deal with it, it's called traffic. Atleast you don't live in NYC!!

I used to live on East St before I got married and moved away. It was a very peaceful part of town, and now its over built. The cars travel over 50mph, it is very dangerous.

A traffic light at that intersection would make me more inclined to drive through Meadowood Dr. Disagree.
