Thank you for following up. The in-road pedestrian sign used during the spring is constantly knocked down by vehicles, or ignored. It is a very dangerous intersection near a school. For example, there is a new, permanent pedestrian crosswalk with signal flashes at Temple and Wall, which is also one block from an intersection with a traffic light. This option for Trumbull and Lincoln would be much safer than the free-standing pedestrian sign, and more helpful all year around.

What happened with the pedestrian sign? It’s now Spring.

We’re still hoping for a sign or an “official” crosswalk at Trumbull and Lincoln.

We have verified that the crosswalk at the location outlined is striped and there are signs from each approach indicating the presence of the crosswalk as well as that pedestrians have the right of way. The in-road crossing signs are being installed as the centerline is repainted and will be deployed shortly. This is an entirely official crosswalk. Thank you.

There should be more than temporary in-road signs at this crosswalk. Pedestrian signs that are available only in warm months is not sufficient for this dangerous intersection that is nearby two schools.
