This photo was taken 4 hours AFTER the water had gone down quite a few inches. It was actually much higher than that.

This flooding also caused me to slip and fall and break my left shoulder.

Water was more than 7 inches out in the grass area

The water had gone down at this point after 4 hours but the damage was done to my vehicle. The water destroyed the electrical system.

After 4 hours, and after the water finally had started to slow down, it was still 7 inches high

Unfortunately, this issue is going to be passed off to the Bayshore Mobile Home Park that owns and manages that property. I have been informed by the City Public Works department, that the bridge is scheduled to be rebuilt sometime in 2018 or so, and at that time, it is their understanding storm water runoff and drainage will be addressed. Unfortunately for me, I live at the other end of the street, 482 Riverside, which the storm water management is not possible right now or the immediate future because the county owns the road and has no city easement rights to implement a proper drainage system. Our neighbor's home, two houses down, was flooded during the last tropical storm, due to the storm water runoff from the street, my driveway appears to be the storm water collection point for this entire street, which makes it difficult for me to enter or leave my property. There are quite a few homes on this section of the road that really are in need of a coordinated, well planned, solution by both the county and the city. How can we make this happen?

Hi Sallie, our home was flooded as well during the last tropical storm. It completely ruined the rugs as well as a bunch of property inside and out. I even got electrocuted because I noticed a power cord that was plugged in and going underwater so tried to grab it and then got shocked. It also is like Ice out on the porch which made me slip right into the water and I landed hard on my shoulder and it put a huge break right through my shoulder. The county or someone needs to do exactly what you said; some kind of coordinated, well planned solution to drain the water because too many homes are getting flooded because of it. Pinellas County Public Works assigned this issue to City of Tarpon Springs

The City of Tarpon Springs Public Works staff will be contacting Pinellas County staff on this matter. This is a County road and drainage is to be addressed as a part of the county project to reconstruct the bridge.

City of Tarpon Springs assigned this issue to Pinellas County Public Works

This area is all Tarpon Springs except Riverside Dr which is a County numbered road. Pinellas County has no easements or legal rights to enter the property. All of the drainage flows to the pond Southwest of the MHP. There is no outfall for this pond that I am aware of. They need to contact Tarpon Springs.

, my wife and I just bought a home in Tarpon Springs. We were there from February until Hermine. Our house got almost a foot and a half forcing us out at midnight with our 1 year old baby and two dogs. We were already speaking with the city building management , they were at my house and actually lying straight to my face trying to say the street was level with my home. My home is clearly more than a foot lower. It is lower because the city built a road there paving it without first gradng it lower and having some type of drainage plan. They also told me to sue the county because it's there street?? The city made a mistake with the street and admitted to it,they also made a mistake allowing the land next to mine to be graded above the allowable limit. All that displaced water ends up in my property and the pond that we all surround ,add in Craig drive being paved and Riverside's water problems the pond fills and fills my yard up to my house with 4 or 5 inches of rain. It makes it into my house where my child plays. The street drains right into my yard and front door??? I tried calling the county I got job number or something like that but the guy that came out said there was nothing he could do and that Tarpon lied Craig drive is there street , and if it were there street they would have taken care of the street draining to me. I tried dealing with the city , I decided I need a lawyer . The other day i asked the city building department to tell me the names of the people making decisions on my application to FEMA for help. It is my right to know and ut says that right on the FEMA website. And i said my family and i have no where to go so we are going home and we would like something done about the water draining to my property. The reply i got wasnt
Helpfull it was the opposite , she started with they do not need to help me , that i was told i was being demanding and that do's not bold well with her so she was going to give me a bad recomendation to the state manager for my application to FEMA . we have been homeless and that email has had us scared with anxiety since.

And i have another baby due April. If more of you are also flooding take a look at this site i will leave below, we have rights and usually cities help but from what they said to me that is not going to happen . There exact words
