Description

It is absolutely ridiculous that the roads are considered plowed in New Haven when there is still 8 inches of snow on them. Waiting for two days AFTER the storm for all the cars to compress and melt the snow is not "snow removal". I thought this was a fluke the first one or two snowstorms I experienced in New Haven, but you claim to have 28 snow plows, and yet there were NONE on the road, and there was NO salt or sand, a full 36 hours after the snow had stopped. This picture is in downtown New Haven. In case it's not clear, the plows need to go around more than once during a snowstorm. Leaving major roads throughout the city with so much snow that cars are sliding and skidding and getting stuck a full DAY after a storm, on a weekday when everyone has returned to school and work, is dangerous and irresponsible and not how a city in New England should react to snow. What are our tax dollars paying for??
