Description
Why do we always have to have this issue. If it is not PSEG, it's the actual city department that does not pay attention to the Rule
this time it is the
Division of Parks and Forestry
Really!!!!!
NO STAPLES TO TREES
I do not understand why again and again, this rule is not followed

Don’t staple and nail signs to trees. Staples and nails create wounds that can cause problems later.
RRC. The signs are still up and stapled. Please lets have some action to correct this issue.

This ordinance prohibits injury to the bark of trees in the parks. Staples injure the bark. Whoever is posting the sign should use tape to do so. However it is better if they do not use a living tree to post signs. They should post on fences, telephone poles or on traffic cones.
239-3. - Damage to trees, shrubbery or lawns.
No person in a park shall:
A.
Damage, cut, carve, transplant or remove any tree or plant or injure the bark or pick the flowers or seeds of any tree or plant, nor shall any person attach any rope, wire or other contrivance to any tree or plant.

Just as a follow up to the reason the Forestry Dept was here today.
There must have been a paperwork mix up. Just talked to the homeowner. The branch the Forestry Dept came today to work on, had already been removed 6 months ago.
Apparently when the men on the truck called headquarters, they figured that out and just left.
