Description

A multi-year improvement project was recently completed at Castle Frank Station. The project added new stairs to/from the west end of subway platform to the bus platform and street. Amazingly, however, there is no entrance there from the street to the station --- only an exit. Moreover, there is no way to get from the bus platform to either the subway or the street through the newly constructed part of the station. All it does is provide one-way access from the subway to the surface. This seems incredibly stupid --- the TTC spent several years and a ton of money on this project, and it ends up being much much less useful than it might be, because they put in a couple of one-way doors instead of letting people move through the new structure in both directions (which would have increased the cost of the project by a miniscule fraction.

How was this decision made? And is there any plan to change it?
