Coming from the Yale Bowl, the traffic sensor at this traffic light doesn't work. We had to run the red light after waiting for over 5 minutes, very late at night with no traffic.

I have been reporting this for months and I have spoken with John Blando personally about what seems to be an intermittent issue. It works fine for a bit then occasionally won't. I know they (traffic & parking) have been addressing this issue. I have experienced the same thing with it not working lately, just haven't had time to call him in the last week.
I see many cars running the light after LOOONNNGGGG waits.

Have you contacted Mr. Blando at Traffic and Parking?- his number is on the City web site- He is VERY responsive- I ran into this issue about 100 times before he finally fixed it--
try backing up and moving a bit from side to side in the lane- sometimes that works.
