I walked past this house the other day and I agree that this needs to be addressed. Call the building department directly and ask that they send an inspector 203-946-8045. There are no visible permits for any of the work being done which is a violation. Beaver Hills is also a historic district, so a major change like demolishing a garage would have had to be approved separately and there would have been a public hearing. Also per CGS Sect 29-407: "No person shall commence any demolition operation unless he first notifies each adjoining property owner by registered or certified mail..." Does anyone know if that happened?

It's too bad that this nice structure is deteriorating. It would be great for someone from LCI to check into the issue. 245 Royden is nearby and could also benefit from a LCI visit.

I spoke with homeowner and he's expecting a family member who works in construction to visit this summer to help with the repairs.

So, I realizing that reporting some issues on See Click Fix is just a joke--no one has responded since March, 2017. I have spoken to Maggie about this and that hasn't helped either.

Don't give up. While it is true that posting on See Click can seem futile (and actually can be) I've had some issues resolved easily and quickly.

Another month has passed. Any news, City of New Haven?
