Description

A four way stop is desperately needed at the intersection of Webster Street and 2nd Street, where currently 2nd has a stop but Webster does not. Just today I saw a man pushing another man in a wheelchair through the unmarked crosswalk across Webster, and they can within inches of being hit by a driver turning right from 2nd Street who was looking for cross traffic but not pedestrians. 2nd Street gets a lot of foot traffic and is the on-street Bay Trail connection for people biking, making it all the more important to increase the safety of this crossing. Realistically this should have been done as part of the recent paving project here in 2016, with stop signs and crosswalk striping added, but we shouldn't let that missed opportunity delay us from fixing it now.
