Description
Huge amount of mosquitos in pipe that never drains. Sure would be nice if someone figured out how to allow this standing water to drain out so we can enjoy our yard. It's had water in it for 20 years.

I entered a service request about the mosquito problem in your area; our technician should be there within one working day depending on their work load. They will inspect the property and surrounding neighborhood to determine the source of the problem and will take the necessary action to correct the problem; whenever possible we try to target Mosquitoes in the aquatic juvenile stage to control them at the source.
If we cannot get into the property due to locked gates then please check for anything that may be holding rainwater as Mosquitoes will breed in them by the hundreds, we’ll be checking the area surrounding the property for anything that may be contributing to the problem and will take the necessary steps to eliminate or treat the source.
If you are at the property when the technician arrives then please take the opportunity to inform them of your concerns. If you are not at the property when they arrive a card will be left providing you with detailed information on our handling of your request and what we will do to monitor the area for any further problems that may develop.
If there are any other questions or concerns you may have please call me at 727- 464-7503.
Thank you,
Pinellas County Mosquito Control

Hopefully someone figures out a way to ensure this water flows out of the pipe. All past attempts have been failures.

For the past 20 years the county highway, parks, streets and drainage and the City of Largo have passed this problem back and forth without resolution. They all point fingers at each other for responsibility. 2 years ago the County sent out a grad-all machine which did nothing for the water retention issue because no matter what water will not run up hill. [see my emails to the county commission} They hire outside contractors that have done nothing to fix this issue but do bill us the taxpayers for more wasted time. This is going to need more than a quick white wash to clear the ticket. Our neighborhood is getting real tired of the large amount of mosquitoes that are continually breeding in this pipe. At night there are so many coming from the pipe that it appears to be a cloud.
Please send someone that understands physics and that water does not run up hill.
