Description
Due to excessive and reckless speeding between West Stadium and 7th avenue on West Liberty, we need to place some signs right after the church on the left if coming from 7th and again after Liberty And Dartmoor - asking people to SLOW DOWN - Handicapped child . We need 2 signs going each direction .
This young child is continuously in danger due to reckless driving and her wheelchair . I am disabled as well but I am an adult .
Also there are too many delivery trucks and cars speeding cutting through Dartmoor to get to Liberty and then Stadium . This is supposed to be a safe neighborhood . We have continuously for 3 years let our Mayor and Police Chief Baird know but signage is needed .
Maybe you have better signage to protect this child and other children - but we need something done fast.
We pay so much in taxes and can't get anything done .
Maybe create another crosswalk in betweeen Dartmoor and Liberty where our home is on the corner and the top of the hill where there is one before the church . We need people to slow down and pay attention .its impossible to even get out of our 2 driveways safely because of this and I am disabled .
We are a military family and we lost my son's father for cancer - I am not losing my son like those poor parents who lost their son as he attempted to use the crosswalk in front of Huron High . I wonder what they would think if they knew how many times I emailed and called with no action .
We need proactive signage this time and action now not after a loss!
It's just a matter of time before someone is seriously hurt or killed as happened across from Huron High where I called and reported similar issues for a year and now the signage is almost over done .
Please do something . Put some speed limit signs up too --> On Dartmoor and on Liberty ...
Thanks for your help .
