Putting a light there will only increase traffic volumes during rush hour. Added enforcement is the only solution.

Enforcement is never there when it's needed. Our kids are in danger. It should be a speed trap zone if no light is put there. We've lost 2 telephone poles already, 1 deer, and tore up the grass on numerous occasions, all due to the speed of the vehicles coming around the curve heading westbound.

"Speed Traps" by definition, are unconstitutional. Also, the street speeds posted are in accordance and compliance with PA85 (Look it up). There is nothing inherently unsafe about this intersection, except some individuals speeding through it. Just because you want one isn't reason enough for it to be there.

That's the key: due to the speed of the vehicles. Were they going posted speeds, they would be driving safely.

A light is a terrible mistake and the turn makes the intersection extremely difficult to police.

My suggestion, take video for a few weeks. Log and record as many speeders as you can including time, vehicle description and plate. Give this info to the Warren PD Traffic division supervisor and plead your case.

A light makes no sense, despite your clamoring for one.

Get a life Mr., it's a bus stop - you're probably one of the ones racing around the curve. No kids play in the street, what are you some kind of fool? One idiot hit the wall of the Bear Creek entry way & took out 1/4 of the brick wall! Get off my back-I suppose it doesn't mean beans until it would be one of your loved ones getting hit or ruining your property. Leave me alone!!!

It is a very dangerous intersection, and leaving Bear Creek, I have often wished that they would put a light there. I remember when the wall was knocked down, and I see people jumping over the curb quite often. However, I believe a light would cause more accidents, as it would not be visible to high-speed drivers coming around the curb until it's too late.

What would be useful is one of those signs that directs motorists to reduce speeds as they go around the curve. At least that would make people aware that it's fairly easy to lose control in that area.

Used to do some serious drag racing there!!
