Continuous sink hole. Roadway is sinking across the entire road, right over the path of the sewer line. The city comes out each spring and dumps asphalt on it - does press it down/use a steam roller. It's just loose asphalt that then doesn't bind together or stay in place and ends up on the grass beside it in the form of pea gravel
