i live on curtola the 700 block and the street sweeper just comes whenever. i move my cars on the day i think he will clean but he comes anytime he decides. it is inconvenient to move the cars and a waste of taxpayers money and time because when he does show up people haven't moved their cars so it is a waste of time to just clean around 1 or 2 cars in the whole block. who can i talk to about this? thanks , randal davis

Wish we had signs in my neighborhood. Some years ago, neighbors asked City Council if we could buy them ourselves. City staff responded that designing the signs was too much work. These days, when someone reports useless sweeping on streets full of parked cars, City staff reply that everyone (even new residents and visitors) SHOULD know when not to park, and don't need to be reminded.
On the other hand, people who park on the street when they have perfectly good rear, off-alley parking, say they do it to prevent theft and vandalism, because the police won't patrol the alleys.
If it's not one thing...

We have early morning routes that are main thoroughfares that are swept once a week early in the morning between the hours of 5am - 7:30 am, this is one of those areas. Every Thursday morning it should be getting swept between those hours, but your actual route is done on the 4th Wednesday. So the signs are there for that purpose.
