Thank you for reporting this pothole to the City of St. Charles. Our Code Enforcement Division has been notified about this request and the pothole has been scheduled for review. We appreciate your help in improving our City streets!

The issues reported about lack of proper maintenance at Mark Twain Village shopping center are not limited to only potholes. I hope St. Charles City Code Enforcement will review my original post when evaluating the large scope of property decay.

Reopen until status update is provided on the "fix" solutions. Code review is a next step but not a closure step until the property is fixed by the shopping mall owner.

I'm sorry I must have closed this by accident. The Code Officer sent two letters to the property owners in New York. One was for the parking lot and one for the vacant lot.

Also, is Community Development checking all shopping centers in the city for code violations? Regency Plaza with Walmart, Sams, etc. is another decaying property.

As for the other malls, we will be getting to those this sprig when we do a sweep of the whole city.

The property owner has bids for the potholes, and also for the vacant lot to be graded , which should help with the drainage. The work should be done by the end of May. If work is not completed I will contact owner on June 1.

Thank you for reporting this pothole to the City of St. Charles. The pot holes have been patched and weeds have been cut. They are currently resurfacing the whole parking lot and restriping. We appreciate your help in improving our City streets!
