说明
Suggestion. Replace stop light with pedestrian triggered blinker (like on beaches & north of Wallsingham Park entrance) which would speed both trail crossing and vehicle traffic. No need to wait 2 minutes for light to change and hold for 30 seconds.

I have seen numerous cars and trucks run the red light at the Pinellas Trail. I have also seen the confusion people have with the blinking yellow lights on Gulf Boulevard. I believe replacing the traffic signal with the blinking yellow lights will result in tragedy for bikers and pedestrians crossing 102 Ave at the Trail.
I do agree that a Trail overpass at 102 Ave is the safest option for everyone. Unfortunately, neighbors on either side of 102 Ave will probably object to a raised road behind their houses, especially those who live in Thurston Groves.

This is the proper treatment for this intersection based on the volumes of vehicles on 102nd Avenue North and the volumes of users on the Pinellas Trail.
Changing to an RRFB could shut down 102nd Avenue North traffic - because the RRFB's would light up for each pedestrian that pushes a button - rather than gather them, and have them cross all at once.
