I've noticed a big police presence on the other end of north street due to road work but nothing on pento / north / mill area. Drivers are getting more aggressive had 2 trucks almost go through my car & I was going 32 mph.

I would tend to agree. Traveling from the Woburn end, off of Mill Street to Pento Road, the first sign of a SPEED LIMIT sign is on the right hand side. The next sign of a sign is a CURVE / NO DUMPING / BLIND DRIVEWAY before the curve onto North Street, Stoneham. I travel this road frequently and gets very busy during rush hour (mostly afternoon rush hour). The town(s) should do the following:

1. Reduce speed on that road overall (25 MPH) and reduce it even more before the curve onto North Street (20 MPH).
2. An electric / solar powered YOUR SPEED radar sign installed on both sides of the road
3. Additional Signage - CAUTION / SLOW CURVE / PEOPLE XING (people actually walk on this road)/ KIDS PLAYING, etc. to alert ALL drivers, not just ones familiar with the road
4. Multiple speed traps per month (both from Woburn and Stoneham officers)

This change will allow families and drivers to be safe at all times. I equate this road to Main Street in Saugus, near the rotary. People speed up and down that road thinking it's a mini Route 1. Families have posted signs that say "DRIVE LIKE YOUR KIDS LIVE HERE" and "SMILE YOU'RE ON CAMERA". Maybe residents in Woburn/Stoneham could come together for a similar solution at the residential level but there needs to be a change at the town level before a real change happens.

@notfromstoneham. I too am not from here. Everything you said I agree 100% with. Now on top of it there's many detours on north for that huge construction going on. The only reason you can see that first sign you mentioned is because my 70 year old uncle went over & ripped the tree branches that were covering that sign because I'll tell you I never knew there was a sign there and I've lived here almost 8 years straight & lived here about 2-3 years 15 years ago. I hope something is done. Everyday I have to worry about getting in & out of my driveway and I can't let my daughter play in our yard. Oh did I mention since I posted this we lost another mailbox. My mom insists on using metal, my stepdad keeps using wood because he doesn't want someone to die when they hit it. I also got into an accident last year because the speed limit is 35, I was going 20 mph in the snow & spun into the utility pole that apparently gets hit every time it's bad out or someone's speeding. There's a lot of children in this neighborhood & a lot of elderly people- please fix this problem.

I'm so close to buying those orange signs !!

Issue not fixed. Speeding only getting worse. My daughter almost got killed the other day by a truck

maybe post this on woburn seeclickfix since it hasn't been acknowledged yet...and what about the speed coming down north street. people fly down that street so fast.
