The Traffic Signal Technician did not find anything wrong with the Solar Crosswalk signal.

Fascinating. I just drove by it (Tuesday, 4:00 pm) and two of the three lights weren't working as an elderly couple were trying to cross the street. Yesterday morning, between 8 and 9, none of the lights were working at all in response to either button, even though it was sunny, and they've been barely working (0, 1, 2 or 3 lights at random) for weeks now. Perhaps your technician should check again.

Thanks for your follow-up. I use these crosswalks daily, and as of 9:30 this morning the activation buttons on 7th St. were not working from either side. As for the 5th St. signal, the activation buttons work, but the center lights do not flash (the north and south side lights do).
Hope this gets fixed as scheduled today.

They definitely were not working last night when I walked at around 7:00 PM. Is this contractor fibbing about fixing it?

My citizen status report:
There are signs someone was there, as there was blue masking tape over the N side activation button on 22nd/7th yesterday and today.
22nd/7th S side button works. Lights work.
22nd/5th N side button works, center lights don't.
I didn't try 22nd/5th S side button.

I'll try them again when I get home from work tonight. This time, I'll document it with video.

The contractor was there and fixed what he could and is waiting for parts to finish the job.

I was just on the south side (crescent lake side) of the crosswalk at 7th St and 22nd Ave (at about 4pm) and the crosswalk wasn't working

Sorry this has been an ongoing issue. I have asked the contractor to send out an engineer to resolve any issues.

Checked both this weekend and both are functioning well :D and also the black tape over the center island lights @ the 5th St. intersection has been removed, and those lights were working. Thanks for sticking with us, Mr. Frederick!
