Description
(MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE) STOP SIGN Needs positioned lower due to the fact that people traveling east & west on 46 av. CONTINUOUSLY run this stop sign. Maybe 2 stop signs need to be on the poles @ all 4 corners. 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM appears to be the worst time, maybe a few more tickets will help. But it happens all the time. In the last week I personally have witnessed @ least 7 vehicles run this sign, mostly in AM When taking kids to school @ New Heights. 1 middle aged lady in gold galant 4/10/17 @ 1:15pm drove right thru stop sign w/ me laying on the horn, she didn't care, never blinked an eye. Thanx !!!!

Per the MUTCD (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices) all signs shall have a 7 foot clearance, we will not be able to lower the signs. However, what you have described is an enforcement issue, so I will assign this request to them and ask them to perform a directed patrol based on the times you have identified. Thank you for you interest in our transportation system.
Thank you for taking the time to “Report an Issue” via Doing Things for you ! Your report has been forward to the Sheriff’s Office (727) 582-6200 please contact them if you have further questions.
