PCSO refuses to enforce the laws that they have probable cause to enforce. Code enforcement is aware of septic tank violation, but nothing changes. No one will cooperate. Everyone passes the buck. And we all wonder why?

Neighbor next to squatters, who are likely using a dangerous heat source, since there is no electricity, is in hospital diagnosed with carbon monoxide poisoning. Yet still no one will do anything to remove the two felons who are squatting there. Unbelievable.

brbgray, have you actually called and spoken with a deputy about this? What is the reason they are telling you they cannot evict or arrest the squatters?

PCSO is very familiar and have been communicated with exhaustively about the situation, to the point they will now not comment. Seems one of the inhabitants may be a paid informant, and thus has gotten away with many crimes for years, and likely her extended family as well. Eviction laws, however, do favor anyone who has a letter sent to them at a particular address. However, the ball in this situation is being passed back and forth and back and forth again, actually more like a hot potato. The adjacent apartment's resident was just hospitalized for carbon monoxide poisoning, likely due from exhausts from an illegal heat source getting through the walls. Code enforcement knows, CPD knows, PCSO knows, DCF knows, and nada. The threat of media or private attorneys don't motivate anyone either.

Why has this complaint not been given to dept. of infrastructure/code enforcement???
