Description
Proerty at 24 Buchanan Road has a rotting fence with sections that continuously fall over. The fence faces out to Buchanan Road, the entry to Harding Circle, and also borders the adjoining property on that street. Falling sections facing Harding Circle and adjoining property are being propped up with wood or other objects, or are tied to other sections of fence. Once the fence sections fall over they are pushed back until the next time it collapses. The majority of the fence is patched with pieces of scrap wood and the painted sections are peeling off in big chunks, with several sections leaning one way or the other. Section of fence on corner of street is loose and a dog pushes it's nose out to bark and growl.
There is also a large shredded blue tarp on the garage roof of which pieces are continually being blown into other yards. The hedges on the side of the yard are overgrown and obscure the street sign. Section of grass outside fence is largely ignored and is usually overgrown.
Please advise as to options to remedy this lack of property maintenance.

So the rotten fence that continually falls over and is an eyesore to the neighborhood can exist as long as it is under the 8 foot height limit? The fence is disgusting, there is a section that has fallen over again and is only being held up by the hedges behind it. Also, the grass outside the fence is not yet growing due to the season, but evidence of neglect can be seen.
Tarp pieces come off in multitudes of little blue strips and are being picked up as they are found.
Fence ordinance - doesn't make sense that under 8 feet is exempt as height is limited to 6 feet:
3.30.6 Fences
In any residence district, fences shall not exceed six (6) feet in height. Such fences, except those on land used for agricultural purposes, shall be erected so that the finished side of the fence faces the abutting property.
Score one for the lazy slobs while most other people have respect for their neighbors.
