Street lights on Rosery Rd.are still not working on all blocks. Contruction was completed on the road over 4 months ago and have been told on several occasions that lights would be operative "shortly." Have also been told that Duke Energy is to blame, who's in charge here?

All of the new street light service locations have been applied for to Duke Energy and we are waiting for them to install them. Once Duke completes their work the lights can be turned on.

I would be interested in knowing who is accountable for this inordinate delay in a basic service that affects the safety of anyone walking, driving, biking and/or living on Rosery Rd. I personally fell and injured my shoulder as a result of of being "blinded" by an spproaching vehicle who's driver felt the need to use their high beams to see properly. That was over one year ago and still no lights.

You have given very vague answer about why the lights are not on. Are the streetlights really that hard to manage? Does the town or Duke manage? These lights have been off way too long.

Duke has given the Town a schedule of May 10th -13th for final construction and the services should be connected the following week. The town manages the lights but is at Duke's mercy as it relates to their connection to the electric utility.
