Thanks for the suggestion but posting on SeeClikFix sends notice to all City agencies who deal with this type of issue and elicits a quicker response. And a follow-up phone call directly to the LCI Specialist and NHPD District Manager (which I did) moves the resolution of the issue along even quicker. Calling an alder for something like this will not provide timely results. When it comes to specific neighborhood issues like this, it helps if you have developed a rapport with the various city agencies - you sometimes get results faster than an alder who has an entire ward to divide their time between and is usually bogged down in political 'doings'. Resident stakeholder/activists can be effectively equipped with the tools and contacts to 'get stuff done' on the block.

LCI inspector came out of Friday and took the sneakers down, and District Manager confirmed to keep a watch for activity. 24 hours ... not bad. Thanks LCI & NHPD!
