Description
First spring in this home since purchase. Home was mostly vacant for the past 10 years (was owner's 2 home). There is a metal grate that appears to be on city property that has standing water. This water is not draining. Please advise if this is homeowner or city responsibility. I have 3 elementary age children and am concerned about mosquito control.

Thank you! I do have a question: There is also standing water both next door on an empty lot and across the street. Both are obvious drainage issues on city easement. Can I open separate issues for each of these or do I have to convince the property owners to make the request? I can't imagine anyone would like having standing water on their property, but in case they do, I wondered if the city has requirements regarding drainage on city easements draining properly?
And thank you for your quick response and for the friendly, helpful city employees. The Huntsville Connect system is working beautifully!
