Is anyone else having issues with rats? We have no fruit trees, no food outside. Against my love of animals; We had to have an exterminator come out to assist with the issue. Our traps are still in effect, and will be for the year of our contract.
We do not have a pool, however Rats will run/chew through a lanai to get to water after feeding off the bait traps. The exterminator said that if others are having issues or see dead rats in their yards, that they will return and it is a HUGE hazard for animals who would eat the rats after they have consumed the poison. Do it yourself options are available however we went with the pros because these critters will return and wreak havoc if not taken care of.
It's not squirrels, but confirmed rats. Scratching in the attic, running on the roof, got inside the garage, one ran over my foot and droppings found.
Just a heads up to fellow neighbors with pets and overall:
Squirrels are DAYTIME
Rats are NOCTURNAL
My dogs are currently working on the squirrel issues lol
