This is not unique to this intersection. Walking along Whitehall you will encounter this at most streets in the neighborhood. It's not a tragedy but people should be able to use the crosswalks without obstruction.

Corner of Partridge and Woodlawn is like this too -- clearly wasn't paved properly when done a few years ago, because it has done it since paved. I doubt it will ever get fixed though. Just can't cross in the crosswalk if it has rained/gets icy. Albany never really has been pedestrian friendly though, now has it.

3 months. No reply. There are contractors working on the sidewalks along Whitehall and there are freshly replaced areas with pools of water in them still.
