3 of the comments about illegal dumping are repeated, and almost daily I receive that reporting, and I don't live near that. I submitted the trash dumping at Laurel & Alhambra St more than once, but doesn't seem to be addressed, and soon we'll have the stuff in the street.
Corner of Walnut & 10th at Mare Island has tall grass and weeds. Subject came up before questioning is it Lennar landscapers or City to care for the area, and City won. They have north part of Chapel Park. Real eyesore to the many who walk in that area on a daily basis.
Walnut Avenue on Mare Island needs the help of the City street sweeper. The recent storms have put so much tree debris in the street, sidewalk & gutters. I've seen the street sweeper on Mare Island, but never on Walnut Avenue.
Be careful walking at 8th Street in front of Alden Park on Mare Island. Sidewalk is raised up from tree roots causing tripping hazard, not to mention very unsightly. Not safe for the many seniors who walk the area.
Thank you for reporting! Public Works has an illegal dumping team whose sole job is to respond to illegal dumping reports throughout the City. On average this team removes 1,200 pounds of trash from public property every day. We strive to respond to all reports in a timely fashion. If you see someone dumping illegally please report the incident to the Vallejo Police Department.
Why do I get this notice on a daily basis in my email? There are other illegal dumping issues, seemingly not acknowledged--lie at Laurel & Alhambra Street (north side).
Thanks for reporting! Our staff responsible for removing, sorting, and dumping all illegal dumping in Vallejo has picked up the illegal dumping reported at this location. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this issue, please call the Grounds Supervisor at 707-648-4581. Thanks again for using SeeClickFix!
Do we have to see this posting daily? I want to see some action on other illegal dumpings. There's a big one at Gary Circle & Magazine Street--large garbage bags at corner and littered trash across the street.
How about the litter at north side of Alhambra Street, just after turning corner off Laurel St?
The Gary Cr.issue is private property and has been sent over to code enforcement. We do not remove any dumped debris from private property. The Reo alley SCF issue#3358483 reported had a homeless person sleeping in it. This issue has been sent over to CSS. We cannot remove individuals from encampments like this. I hope this information is helpful.
There is litter at Gary circle, not on private property, but at the triangular shaped divider. Also litter at Alhambra Street--near curb by easement, not on the private property.
