Description

Regarding the Yale construction workers with white work van with plates CT 598-VSA parking in front of 68 Mansfield during the day for months.

The parking department investigated, and said that the Zone 7 visitor permit, number 15416, is actually a landlord permit, and the workers are doing work on the landlord's private property. Parking stated that they were unable to get more information, like a reasonable explanation of the kind of work that was being done to a private property that requires a crew of workers wearing protective gear and hardhats for more than 4 months. This is simply not credible.

The parking department was lied to. I'm sorry, but the honor system doesn't work.

When we complain about the fraudulent use of parking permits, it's because we SEE the people who are using them. We are not making this stuff up. The workers that park this vehicle are from Ducci Electrical, one of the Yale contractors. They workers leave the vehicle and enter the Yale residential college project every day. A number of us have filed complaints because we see this.

If city officials are being lied to, it is because they are allowing it.
