This is more of Planning Board issue than a Police issue. Yes, Car drive too fast on Littleton Rd. to beat the Red Light.

A continuous sidewalk along the north side of Littleton Road between Oak Street and Hunt Road, a signalized pedestrian crossing (countdown timers and pedestrian signals) across Littleton Road at Hunt Road, and sidewalk connecting up to the bike trail access on High Street would be appreciated by myself and I'd imagine many other residents of the densely populated residential communities along the north side of Littleton Road who use the bike trail and transit riders. Painted stop lines at Littleton/Hunt would be a good idea too. A study to consider reducing the speed limit along Littleton Road between Hunt Road and the Westford Town Line to either 35 or 40 mph may also be a good idea. It is ludicrous to have this stretch of Littleton Road have the same posted speed as Route 2 in Concord.

In Chelmsford, Hunt Rd. is shortcut from Route 110 to Route 27. This road is known for its curves and accidents. My observations, South Chelmsford compared to other districts: 1) highest number of affordable housing; 2) highest population; 3) number of high elementary school students; etc. The South Chelmsford Fire Station mudy. With 50 Hunt Rd. project, the bus will be pick up students on Littleton Rd., close to the Traffic lights.

Hunt Rd. is known as shortcut between Route 110 and 27. The curved portions of the road have caused many accidents. I have seen many vehicles run through traffic lights at Hunt Rd. and Littleton Rd. The proposed assisted housing will have children at bus stop on Littleton Rd. Very dangerous!
