This sign has been replaced at least 3 times in the last six months. It's usually destroyed within a matter of days. Perhaps something slightly heavier duty is in order? Or perhaps a semi-protected crossing with an island? Cross traffic absolutely refuses to stop or even slow for pedestrians in the crosswalk.

Please do not replace this sign! I live right in front of it and their is insufficient room in the street for it. It's usually hit by a truck or metro bus within minutes of installation. An island would be an even greater disaster.
