Description

This is to request those standing pedestrian signs be put up temporarily on Manila Ave and its respective intersections. (5th street, 4th street, 3rd street, 2nd street)

The signs in reference are those "Stop for pedestrians, its the law." because in the past 6 months walking to and from work daily I noticed that out of 10 cars, maybe 1 will actually stop to let pedestrians walk. This is becoming a problem as more and more pedestrians are in the area especially with warmer weather. The issue is Manila ave on these cross streets do not have traffic lights leaving the yield of automobile drivers to blow past when pedestrians are trying to cross.

The signs flashing did help slightly but drivers continue to disregard pedestrians requesting to cross.
