Thank you Joby Joba. It was gratifying when I saw the repaving and bike lane improvements on Powerline Blvd. between Oakland Park Blvd. and Sunrise Blvd!! Finally an improvement to our part of town. I live in Hillmont Heights, a small quiet neighborhood outlined within Powerline Blvd., NW 19th St. and Mills Pond Park. I too have seen the increased traffic on NW 20th St. From Powerlind Blvd. It is now, more than before, being used as as a shortcut heading west, to avoid waiting for the light at Powerline Blvd. and NW 19th St. A hazardous increase of traffic using NW 20th St. while speeding. Taking the sharp curve at NW 11th Ave too fast and tossing not only fast food trash but beer cans and bottles, a dangerous combination. We are a neighborhood, not a short cut expressway and a drive thru trash can. I applaud city improvements, but not at the safety, danger and devaluation of my neighborhood. This is due to violating and disrespectful drivers. DOT, we have multiple issues on NW 20th St., please investigate this serious unpredictable situation.
