This ordinance only requires the cutting of grass or weeds over 8 inches in height and consume an abundance of the yard. We cannot require the trimming of trees, bushes, shrubs, ornamentals, ivy, poison ivy, oak or sumac. Renter finally cut some of it today but not the entire backyard

Well, they have until the end date of the notice to cut it, right?

Not sure when that is but already been over a week. Renter only cuts grass when cited or 3 times a year, whichever comes first.

You did not go in the backyard then. Some of the yard was cut but not all of it.

I assume when you cite some one to cut the yard you intend for them to cut the entire yard, especially when so overgrown. Renter assumed you would not walk into backyard to see.

The inspector has checked this and determined the violation has been satisfied. This ordinance only requires the cutting of grass or weeds over 8 inches in height and CONSUME AN ABUNDANCE of the yard. Ridiculous that the renter can cut just half of the back yard after you have left a notice. The backyard is severely overgrown as it has not been cut since last year!
