Street light are out at this location do to the take down of the police station the power has been cut. The contractor is looking into a temporary light source for the intersection of Exchange and Commercial.

Lets keep this ticket open until the temporary source of power is found. It was still dark last night. This is the main detour route for the city hall construction project and gets very dark on Exchange. It is also going on 3 weeks? We need to keep pressure on these developers, their lack of foresight, is causing us as residents a nuisance. Their lack of planning should be causing them issues, not us. Can we fine them for every day the lights are dark?

The building inspector is working with Callahan Construction on this problem to get temporary lighting while the project is ongoing.

Please remind the contractor that was selected by this developer, as they are busy moving forward with the demolition, they put more resources to fix this issue that they forgot to plan for, in a timely manner.

Summertime is coming, more people are out at night taking the T home. That is a major alternate route and the police station is not there anymore.

Is there any update? We are coming upon two months.

Building Inspector confirmed lights are being designed to be placed on the old Bank of America building and will take about 6 weeks. Please leave open until lights are operational.

Chief Molis confirmed last night that there are now lights affixed to the Bank of America building on the south side of Exchange Street and provided light along the sidewalk there.
