Description

Traffic speed on Huron, especially after Cross street is a major problem. Semi trucks, cars, buses, even the police, speed through the 25 mph zone as if there is no posting. Not only do people disregard, only to be stopped at the light no more than 100 yards away, but some people even wind up and drag race, from the light at cross. This is dangerous, disrespectful and flat out against the law. I've contacted the city twice already, and asked for simple solutions to start, such as moving the 25 mph signs closer to the intersection, and making them neon colored. Simple. Maybe it won't work but it at least would have been a sign of good faith. The volume of cars REQUIRES more attention to this! I knew about the volume. I had no idea about the speed - neither my realtor to the previous owners mentioned this, of course.

This is a beautiful, historic road. Sitting on the porch on a Saturday evening is a nightmare. Is there anything that can be done?
